I am Lindiwe Yende from Kwa-Thema in Springs. I am teaching at Lefa Ifa Secondary School. At the moment I am an acting HOD in Mathematics Department from grade 8-12. I am teaching Mathematics in grade 8 9,11 and 12. I am not an outgoing person but I can easily socialise. The company of people I most enjoy is that of people who have positive attitudes towards life and who love themselves for who they are. I do not like selfish people who think that the world revolve around them.
I love dressmaking and that is becausemy mother is a dressmaker. I remember when I finished my standard 10,I did no want to be a teacher but my attitude changed in my first year of training because i realised how important it is to be a teacher since learners will always depend on me for new knowledge and it was never going to be about me but about children.
Lately, I have realised that teaching is revolving and technology is making teaching easier for us. Teaching materials can easily be access when one has a knowledge of how and where to access it. Using these technological devices save time instead of always writing on the board. I want to be equipped on how to use these modern teaching aids.

ReplyDeleteYes technology is certainly improving by the second but at least we are now more informed than before. Using it in class is initially hard work but being able to use it on many classes makes the effort worth while
